The UNODC was established in 1997 and for two decades, it has been helping make the world safer from drugs, organized crime, corruption and terrorism. We are committed to achieving health, security and justice for all by tackling these threats and promoting peace and sustainable well-being as deterrents to them. In order to achieve this, UNODC carries out a broad range of initiatives, including alternative development projects, illicit crop monitoring and anti-money laundering programmes.

The Citizens' Dialogue (CD) is a forum comprising of prominent and regular citizens aimed at creating a spirit of dialogue into the public.Most of the time, the general public is left to the role of either become a spectator or are exposed to rhetoric for electoral purposes. The way we ensure neutrality in CD is by making it only a space for open dialogue and debate- nothing more, nothing else. The CD serves as a platform for dissemination of information based on the sole principle that nothing is more important to a democracy than a well informed electorate. The aim is rather to support representative democracy by creating transparency, improving people’s understanding of the system and developing a collaboration between those who govern and those who are governed.

The prime ministers’ cabinet takes important decisions, their primary role being an official advisory council to the head of government. Operation Blue Star" in the Government's term, connoting a necessary military operation to flush out terrorists and recover arms from the Golden Temple, the implication being that it was an unavoidable cleansing act of purification but the Sikhs of Punjab remember the episode, connoting aggression, massacre and religious persecution.

The United Nations Security Council is one of the Principal Organs of the UNO and plays the integral role of international peace-maker. Within its ambit; is the settlement of international disputes through mediation, the imposition of sanctions, and the use of force to maintain international peace and security. Its structure comprises; the P5- 5 global powers that enjoy permanent membership, and 10 other non-permanent member nations. It also exercises authority over UN Peacekeeping Missions, and is the only UN body that wields the power to pass binding resolutions.
